A listing on Indian import and export database Zauba appears to confirm the Moto E name for Motorola's next handset. The specs of the handset were leaked earlier this month, and while those leaks referenced the Moto E name, this is the first time we're seeing the name appearing somewhere official. Zauba is a database that lists all handsets arriving on Indian shores.
The listing suggests that there will be three variants of the Moto E: The single-SIM version (XT1021), dual-SIM version (XT1022) and a dual-SIM model with digital TV (XT1025). The retail value of the units according to the listing suggests that the Moto E will cost around $130 to $140 in India (Rs. 7,999 to Rs. 8,999). Also confirmed is the fact that the Moto E will feature 4 GB of internal storage. While 4 GB is lesser than what is offered in the Moto G, it is believed that the Moto E will feature a micro-SD card slot.
Motorola is set to target a different audience with the Moto E. From recently-leaked specs, it looks like the device will be available in a thinner 6.2 mm chassis. The Moto G by comparison has a thickness of 11.6 mm. Other reported specs include a 4.3-inch 720p screen, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM, 5 MP camera, 1900 mAh battery and Android 4.4 KitKat.
