The new smartphone is called Wiko WAX, and it’s a mid-range device. It seems to run Android Jelly Bean, offering a 4.7-inch 720p display and an 8MP rear camera.
As for the Tegra 4i chipset, this features 4+1 CPU cores clocked at up to 2.3GHz, and a 60-core GPU. Reportedly, it can bring “up to 2X higher performance than competing phone chips.”
Wiko will sell its new device starting April, not just in France, but also in other European markets, including the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Portugal. The smartphone’s price hasn’t been announced, but we imagine it won't be high.
According to Nvidia, the Wiko WAX is Europe's first Tegra 4i-based handset. This probably means that the Tegra 4i version of LG's G2 mini won't be reaching Europe too soon.
