A new upcoming member of the HTC Desire family has leaked out, in line with the company's promise to start producing more models in all price ranges and screen diagonals.
The handset is listed as Desire 8, though we'd assume the final tag might be Desire 800, given HTC's naming scheme so far. It is apparently positioned higher in the food chain than the Desire 700 we reviewed recently, as it is said to sport a larger, 5.5" display of yet unknown resolution. This will position it somewhere between the upcoming 5" HTC M8 aka One 2, and the 6" One max.
A 13 MP camera is said to adorn the rear, and this one is unlikely to be of the infamous UltraPixel variety, while a wide-angle 5 MP shooter is destined for the front. The what looks like a polycarbonate body will be available in white, red, yellow, orange and cyan, and HTC's signature dual stereo speaker setup can be seen at the front. The rest of the specs are largely non-existent at this point, but we are certain more will leak out before the Desire 8(00) hits the shelves. What do you think, does this one fit nicely into HTC's new strategy.
