A rather huge fire at a factory producing printed circuit boards (PCBs) for the Samsung Galaxy S5,
could lead to a delay in the release date of the eagerly awaited
handset. Samsung hasn't announced a delay, but has said that it is
looking for other factories to source the PCBs from. The Samsung Galaxy
S5 is scheduled to launch in 150 countries on April 11th.
The fire that broke out was a massive blaze that required a response from 287 firefighters and 80 firetrucks. By the time the fire was put out, equipment and component damage amounted to a steep $1 billion. The fire broke out at 7am local time and it took 6 hours to put it out.
