We already heard that iOS 8 will most likely come with a greatly revamped Apple Maps app and a completely new health-centric application, called Healthbook,
but rumors about the future version of the mobile platform to emerge to
the surface. According to a new speculation, iOS 8 will come with a duo
of new iCloud-oriented apps. In addition, there will be improved tools
for the development of iCloud-based apps.
Apple is rumored to be bringing Preview and TextEdit from the Mac to iOS. These apps will allow users to view PDF documents, which are created on Mac and synced with Apple's cloud storage service. However, rumor has it that editing these documents won't be possible. Apple will most probably still encourage users to edit PDF files via iBooks or Pages. These changes to iOS are a direct result of the close work between the developers of both iOS and OS X. Thus we might expect even greater integration between Apple's platforms. It is also rumored that app developers will benefit from improved tools for the development of iCloud-based apps once iOS 8 gets released. It seems that the Cupertino company might have actually listened to the complaining developers, who claim that the process of creating such an app is quite cumbersome.
