Sony Xperia Z2 won't be delayed

Sony is no longer accepting pre-orders for its new Xperia Z2 flagship smartphone. While the situation has not changed, this isn’t because the Z2 will be delayed.
According to Xperia Blog, Sony confirmed that the Xperia Z2 would be released in April - at least in the UK. So why aren’t pre-orders available? Well, it’s because the company is “seeing particularly strong demand for Xperia Z2” across its distribution channels, and “current stock levels” aren’t high. Sony France tweeted that the Z2 is a “victim of its own success.”By the looks of it, it seems that, for now, Sony just can’t produce enough Xperia Z2 units to meet the initial demand. Even so, the handset should be released in Sony’s home country (Japan) this month. The Xperia Z2 appears to be the best Sony smartphone ever. It builds on the success of the Xperia Z and Xperia Z1, coming with major improvements, including a better 5.2-inch 1080p display, a faster Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, and a 20.7MP rear camera with 4K video recording. Like its predecessors, the Z2 is waterproof, being IP58-certified. The smartphone runs Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box.
