Satya Nadella is planning to fire-up his reign at the helm of Microsoft by (finally) announcing Office for iPad. According to TheVerge, the Redmond-based giant will hold a special cloud- and mobile-focused event in San Francisco on March 27th when we’ll see Office running on Apple’s tablet.
It is said that Office on iPad will look similar to the iPhone version, requiring Office 365 subscription for editing. The application will support Word, Excel and PowerPoint files, allowing users to stay on top of their tasks while on the go.
In addition to Office for iPad, we also expect to hear some other details on Microsoft’s strategy for the future. Nadella previously hinted that during his tenure, Microsoft will put “cloud first, mobile first,” but we yet have to see how that will affect the company’s products and services. Hopefully, we’ll get something more concrete soon…
