Bing has released a mobile version of its Health and Fitness app for
Windows 8/Windows RT. Actually, we should point out that this is a Beta
version of the mobile app, made for Microsoft to test. Even though it is
in the Windows Phone Store, it has known issues and limited
functionality. Microsoft says not to install it while in Beta, but
you're going to go ahead and do it anyway, aren't you?
The app monitors your caloric intake, tracks your exercises and helps you decide what to eat. Information about 300,000 foods are included. Each section like Today, Fitness, Nutrition, Medical, and News is color coded, making it easier to find. If you're the type that finds it hard to do an exercise the right way, some show an expert doing it so that you can see the proper way to do, say, a seated spinal twist.
