Render of BlackBerry Jakarta leaks out along with latest specs

Render of BlackBerry Jakarta leaks out along with latest specsA render of the BlackBerry Jakarta has leaked out. The model will be one of the first low end phones to be designed, manufactured and warehoused by contract manufacturer Foxconn, under a five year contract. These phones are expected to be sold only in developing markets, with the BlackBerry Jakarta being sold in Indonesia.
The render shows a handset with squared off corners. This is an all-touch-model, exactly as rumored, with a speaker grille design in the back, along with the BlackBerry logo. The design comes from Foxconn with BlackBerry providing the OS for the device. The rumored specs include a 5 inch screen with a 540 x 960 resolution. Under the hood is a dual-core 1.2GHz processor with 1.5GB of RAM on board. There is 8GB of native storage on the device. A 2650mAh battery graces the unit, which should provide all day power without 4G connectivity. The 5MP rear-facing camera has auto-focus, and  flash with 5X digital zoom. The 1.1MP front-facing camera features a fixed focus and 3X digital zoom.
So what are your thoughts on the render? Keep in mind that this handset is not expected to come to the U.S.. Instead, BlackBerry is believed to be working on a high end model for the U.S. this year or next, that would feature an octa-core, 64 bit processor.
In the third quarter of last year, BlackBerry sold 4.3 million units. Amazingly, 3.2 million of them were BlackBerry 7 models. For BlackBerry to succeed, this is going to have to change. Hopefully, models like the BlackBerry Jakarta will lead the way. We expect the device to be unveiled at MWC.
